Help Armada 110 redhat

Dear all,

I needhelp with a project to install RH6.2 on a compaq armada 110.

Is there a specific how2or web page.

I 've done the basic 6.2 install but i'm having problems with upgrading
rpm to 4.0 and then upgrading the rest of the packages.

The cd refuses to mount.

X won't work.

When I issue the halt command the powwer button will not shut down
the machine. I have to take the battery out to shut the machine down.

Help.

I have successfully set up a desktop machine using 6.2 but this laptop
is proving stubborn.

Any help appreciated.
