Mandrake 9.1 video problem

I have a gateway solo 5300 with a savage IX-MV video chip. What is
strange is that RH9 properly identifies the chip and loads the correct
driver...Mandrake 9.1 identifies the chip but does not load the correct
driver only allowing generic_sw cursor to be loaded. How do i make
mandrake 9.1 use the correct driver?
