Hi,
I'm very interested in your fix. I'm using Fedora Linux with my
self-compiled kernel 2.6.1 (+ acpi-patch from Christian Winter) on my 1 week
old Tecra S1. But there are three things I can't get to work:
- the framebuffer device for the text console (neither 'radeonfb' nor 'vesa
2.0') doesn't work. I always get a black screen when grub ist booting....
- I installed the Toshiba-notebook support in the kernel, but I don't have
"/proc/acpi/toshiba". how can I switch the backlight?
- speedstep doesn't work ...(everything needed (and a lot more) is compiled
into the kernel), at boot time the kernel says "cpufreq: No CPUs supporting
ACPI performance management found" and /proc/cpuinfo always tells me that
the pentium-m is running at 1500MHz :(
I think that it has to be a problem with ACPI. Perhaps someone can help me a
little bit.
Thanks for any help,
Martin
