Hello All, from a newbie to Linux (Well, actually, cheating and using
Knoppix), wonder if someone has some advice on this one: (Shirley
might even have a round for you, cause been struggling with this for
some time)

Running KNOPPIX 3.3, Thinkpad 600, Cisco 4800 802.11b. Trying to run
Kismet and Ethereal. I can get it to work for about 5 seconds.

1) Insert the Cisco card into the laptop, and it beeps twice...A good
thing from everything I have been reading. Light blinks on card about
once every few seconds as normal.
.
. Can run Kismet, Ethereal, as normal during this time
.
.
2) About 5 to 10 seconds later, a single, lower tone beep occurs, the
card no longer blinks as normal, and card no longer works. IWCONFIG
and IFCONFIG show as if card is present in the system and working
correctly, but apparently the single beep is indicating that Linux is
dumping the card for some reason.

The card will do the single beep thing, even if I plug it in, and
don't do anything, like trying to use it with Kismet.

I know I'm not showing any logs or anything, so any advice on what I
need to provide for help on this one would be greatly appreciated!!!!
