I looked at them and read the somewhat over the top comments on
slashdot the other day. The main thing that made me not think
Linuxcertified was good was they said the machine didn't sleep, which
is of course the really hard bit, pity otherwise I'd be happy to
support them.
Can you confirm if it reliably sleeps or not?

The specs were within my requirements

My current 5100 has only one slot and it always has my wireless
card in it so I need to take it off the net when I'm writing
compact slash and sd card (yes I could do that through a usb
link but typically don't carry that piece of equipment.
But sleep seems to be the elusive property (hmm I feel the same way
:-).
So far I've seen one confirmed report that the IBM T40 can do this and
this machine is still for sale, which I believe works becuase it has
an old enough bios that apm still works, it seems we've been force to
move to ACPI by the ahrdware vendors, and we're not ready to support
it yet.,
