I've got an HP laptop (Pavillion XT 155 I think) and cranked up Knoppix 3.4
yesterday.

For the first time ever, I've got a working (out of the box) battery meter!
It knows when it's on battery or AC as well. No kernel compiles needed!

The wireless card works out of the box (a Linksys card)

It also found and used my USB pen drive!

If you have a laptop and are having trouble with some of these features, I
encourage you to check out 3.4! I have no affiliation with the project, I
just really like the distro!
