Not with Fedora Core 1, but with Core 2 you can specifiy "linux xfs" at
the installtion boot prompt to install to an xfs filesystem. IIRC,
ReiserFS is also supported this way.

Make sure you build a kernel with xfs and/or ReiserFS support before you
do this.
