Thinkpad R40: Problems with external LCD display via port replicator

    Hi,

    I use a port replicator to get my display out on a Dell 17" flat panel
    LCD monitor. My problem is that the external display blanks out after
    a few minutes, and stays that way until I press a key. This problem is
    specific to the external display (which I guess is being treated as a
    "projector") and does not happen to the Thinkpad's own LCD display.
    Any clues?
