Weird: Inspiron 8000 switches on and off automatically

    HI

    Last night I woke up in the middle of the night and noticed that
    my laptop showed some pretty weird behaviour: it switched on
    by itself, started booting, and 15 secs later or so it switched off
    again. One minute later the same happened and a minute later again.
    I finally had to pull out the battery to make it stop. When I
    tried this morning, everything was fine... What could
    be the cause of this? I have suse 8.0, and I think there is also a
    windows partition present still.
