I am almost finished with an install of Debian onto a vaio VGN-A115B..
It's been an interesting experience, had problems with quite a few
devices until I compiled in a 2.6.7 kernel and fought for a day to get
it to boot. Now the only device that I've tested that isn't working
is the wireless lan built into it.
from lspci -v I've got
Network Controller: Intel Corp.: Unknown device 4220 (rev 05)
subsystem: Sony Corporaation: unknown device 819a
flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, irq 9
memory at ff6fd000 (32-bit, non-pre-fetchable) [size=4k]
Capabilitites: [40] Power Management version 2
for the device that must be the wlan. What driver should I be using
for this device? I don't know much aabout the laptop, and I can't
seem to find any info on the chip. Any help would be greatly
appreciated... then I can complete my documentation for installing
onto this laptop.
