Adding and removing a pc card

    Hi there,

    I recently bought a pc card for my laptop to provide USB 2.0
    support (it is a D-Link USB 2.0 2-Port Cardbus Adapter ).

    The card works fine but I am not sure what is the best way
    to plug it in or remove it.

    For examaple, if I plug it in and then boot, the card works fine.
    But if I remove it without first turning off the computer,
    linux stucks and I need to reboot my box.

    Any suggestions? I use Mandrake 9.0.
