Hello,

I have a think pad T22 with Mandrake 10 installed.

Yesterday I booted up the computer while unplugged so it booted with the
battery. Everything went fine until X started (the graphical interface).
The screen went blank. It's as if the screen went into another mode to save
energy. Now, even plugged, the system seems to be stuck in that mode. The
only way I can see the screen is when I toggle to alternate screens
(alt-F4) at a poor resolution. I tried rebooting and it's always the same
story. I see the process of booting, everything is as usual but the screen
goes blank instead of showing me the KDE startup.

Is there a energy saving mode like i'm describing in mandrake? How can I
switch to the old mode and configure the energy saving mode?

Thank you for your help,

Joe.
