Hello to all
Disclaimer: I'm a total beginner on this matter.
I just installed a Vector Linux 4.3 distro on a rather old laptop
(Compaq Presarion 150 AMD K6-2 300mhz with 96 MB RAM), and I wish to
be able to establish a network with a brand new computer running under
Windows XP. I want my old laptop to be able to have Internet access
through the desktop computer.
I understand the network must be configured in
"etc/pcmcia/network.opts". Due to my lack of knowledge on this matter
My questions are simple: could I have some samples of working
"networks.opts" files? Is the "gateway" address supposed to be the
same address as the one given to the desktop computer?
Thnaks in advance for any help
