Slackware uses BSD style startup scripts, so you just find where
rc.pcmcia is started and move it to where you want. In my system it's
started from /etc/rc.d/rc.S just after modules are loaded and this
seems to work fine (Slackware 10).
One problem that I had, before switching to yenta_socket, was if I
booted with the cardbus network card inserted, both hotplug and
card manager loaded modules for it. I had to blacklist tulip on this
machine to get hotplug out of the way.
