IBM without question. Lots of people have success with Linux on Dell, but a
lot also have some hardware problems. No one ever has problems popping the
more popular distros on IBM laptops. I run Slackware 9.1 on an ancient IBM
600e with only 128MB. Runs slow with the KDE hog, but very acceptable with
other, less resource hungry, window managers.
I'd like to get a new IBM. Where did you see the price reduction... and do
they have stock?
