    Try Mandrive LE 2005 or Slackware 9.1. These both work on my on my ACER
    Travelmate 292LMI.

I have a very similar system to yours I have tried installing FC4 about 6 time on my spare drive which is a 200GB segate with 100GB left free for Linux, when I put either CD1 in and boot from it CD1 fails during the test stage it I continue it just freezes, I eventually found a DVD ISO and burned that it got throught the test stage but then froze when partitioning the drive? ... I then thought alright I'll partition first and used Partition Magic 8 in windose it froze when it got to the Keyboard layout selector, I have installed FC4 32bit as a VM under windose and it when on like a dream, but was very slow, I don't have Windose 64 so I can;t try the FC4 64 in this way and I have University assignment which is to compare Linux 32 with Linux 64, so I have so far that the installer doesn't work on my hardware I have a unupdated Compaq SR1539 if anyone knows this system and make of motherboard it uses because I have no idea other than it have an ATI X200 on board, but I'm using the GeForce 6200 Turbo Cache that came with it too, does anyone know where I can download a working DVD ISO so I can get on with installing FC4 on my 64bit system as I would like to migrate from windose using WINE where nessesary. ...
