    Hi, my dual-boot thinkpad is getting old and I'm thinking of buying a new
    laptop. Is the iBook with OS X a good choice for a long-time Linux user?
    I have never used an iBook or powerbook before,
    My needs are mostly:

    - Latex
    - Fortran and C code writing
    - running a few simulations
    - shell scripts, awk, sed, perl...
    - mathematica and stuff like that
    - powerpoint; ms office, palm, digital camera..;

    what about making it a double boot?
