Need to know what (if any) PCI video card will work with a Motorola MTX
Dual-604e/300 PReP mobo. Mine is the board with three 32-bit PCI slots.
All is fine over the serial console, board recognizes PS/2 KB at boot, all
diags for KB and PCI in PPC-Bug run with no issues reported. I was able to
install and update Debian, so I can tentatively say the board works.
But I can't get a video card to fire up and initialize. I've tried:
Matrox G200 PCI
Permedia2 PCI
ATI Mach64 PCI
ATI Mach64/Rege II PCI
All the above are known working boards, and I tried them in different PCI
slots.
Nothing, nada, zip. No matter if the console cable is plugged or
unplugged.
This is my first PReP board and attempt at LinuxPPC. I am missing
something obvious, a jumper, ENV configuration setting or similar?
Or can these boards really only run Cirrus/S3 video boards as is vaguely
hinted at in several Google articles?
Regards,
Brian
