This is to install Mac OS X on non-Apple hardware or copy Apple
hardware. It is legal to buy PowerPC hardware. Though, I do not
think you save that much money.

You can run Mac OS X on non-Apple hardware using Mac-on-Linux and
having Linux as a host OS. But if you are going to buy non-Apple ppc
hardware + Mac OS X, why not just buy Apple hardware?

Linux? Most good free software comes from GNU, Apache foundation, the
BSDs, Mozilla, etc. It is more like Linux distros and Apple take
their software from the same "providers".

But I do agree that the Linux movement brought the motivation to
develop more software especially things such as KDE, Gnome, etc.

I agree, I am a Linux user using Apple hardware (iBook). I hope Apple
will take into account Linux users and do their best to provide
hardware specs etc.
