GCC on YDL2.3. Missing dependencies??

I've been trying to use gcc on my PPC running YDL_2.3. Because of a
disk-space issue, I haven't room to do a full 'Development Package'
install, so am picking the 'Home Office' pack, and adding gcc via rpm.
It calls for binutils and cpp as dependencies (no surprise), but when
it comes to compiling time, it doesn't know what #include <stdio.h>
means. This is Chapter One stuff!!

I guess something is missing <g>. But surely glibc & libstdc++ are in
the base install??

Any suggestions?

Nikki
