Good grief! I can't believe I missed that one. I *promise* that
with the other kernel (that came with YD) the CD-RW drive was
reported as 1,4,0 in the cdrecord -scanbus output. I even had
it as part of my environment:

setenv CDR_DEVICE 1,4,0

I guess it just takes a second pair of eyes sometimes.
