Greetings,
I got my hands on an old IBM 43p 150
Type: 7043-150
Graphics: IBM GXT3000p ( I also have an IBM GXT2000p which seems to be a
Matrox clone)
CD
1 Gig Ram
9 Gig HDD
75MHz 604e PowerPC CPU
I'm not totally sure wether this machine is CHRP or PREP. I've already
upgraded OpenFirmware to the last version but I'm not able to boot any
LinuxKernel (well, thats not totally true - Mandrake Linux Version 9.1 (that
I've bought) boots out of the box by hacking some modifications in
OpenFirmware...)
I don't like this Mandrakestyle anyway so I'd rather have Debian running on
this Machine...
May anyone help me out?
Is there a good tutorial (for Installation) available?
I already tried some tutorials but all Kernels (compiled or not) won't boot.
HINT: I need some kind of Floppy or CD installation because there is no
Network available during installation Process.... kind'a bad luck :(
Thanks for your help...
Please reply to this Newsgroup (eMail is fake to avoid spam....)
