Hi all,
I am experimenting with Linux on my old Powermac, and have seen that YDL
version 4 is about to be publicly released as ISOs; currently it is
available only via a ydl.net membership. I'm sure someone here has tried
it already, and could possibly answer a few questions:
* I've seen that oldworld Mac hardware is no longer officially
supported, but is "believed to work" anyway. Has anyone tried to install
it on something like a PPC7300 (well, ok, mine has a G3 processor
upgrade card)?
* what can I expect with respect to speed? Will it work faster or slower
than YDL3 on old hardware?
* what are the most important benefits of using YDL4 instead of YDL3?
Frank
