    OK so I've found this site:

    which seems to have a guide to doing more or less what I want to do.

    However I'm having a very perplexing problem that I can't find ANY
    information for. Open Firmware crashes (grey screen of death with the
    line-through-the-circle symbol) when I use the boot command.

    It doesn't matter if I'm typing boot hda:5,yaboot boot by itself or
    even boot ?, it crashes.

    Is there something obvious that would cause this behavior, or is my
    system badly messed up somehow?
