Hi,
I am using Apple G3 installed with YellowDog linux. I use BootX to boot
linux. Because I have just built a new kernel, and want to copy it from
linux partition into Apple's System Folder. So I type "hpmount
/dev/sda1 /mnt", it gave some prompts(I can't remember :( ), I choose Y
but it failed. then I tried /dev/sda2, and it failed either. So I
abandon hpmounting and reboot.
But the nightmare came. The G3 can't boot and only a floppy-like icon
with a question mark flickered on the screen. I reboot G3 using MacOS
installation disk, and use "disk setup" utility, only to find the
harddisk(scsi) reported as "uninitialized" What should I do? I have
spent lot of time customizing my linux and there are lots of important
data on linux partition. Is there an rescue method? thanks a lot if you
could give me some help.
