    Hey there,

Complete newbie here. Is there a FAQ's available for this ng?

At any rate, I have a bunch of "slightly mature" Macs and a few PC's
around the house, and I would like to explore linux.

A friend told me that I can get a bootable CD that allows me to boot up
from and check out the OS.

The current machine of choice probably would be my ibook dual USB-600,
combo drive. I have the usual OS (9.2 and X) and Toast.

Obviously a newbie, so please be gentle with the jargon, e.g., "building
a kernel of corn while eating a yellow dog that's wearing a red hat"
    means nothing to me :-)

    Thanks.

    Tho
