I tried hard getting quik to work on a PM4400 and a Beige G3,
but failed. Now I'm content booting the G3 via MacOS9 + bootx.

Bootx need to install MacOS and I'haven't MacOS. It is possible de boot linux
with quik. You must apply OpenFirmare "Patch" on System Disk and after, you can
boot quik (on G3 Beige).

Floppy boot is also possible, but the Beige G3s sometimes timeout
when booting from floppy, so one has to repeat the boot command.

Yes, Macos Rom can run linux with a floppy with Miboot, it is used by debian on
PowerPC Boot floppies.
