Problem installing Corel Linux.

I am a somewhat newbie. I have some experience in linux. I got really
interested when Corel Linux came out then put it aside. I had the idea
recently that since Corel Linux is based on debian I could install it and
then upgrade it with more current packages and even compile a new kernel for
it. However after just installing it on a second computer I have which is a
K6 2-500. All I get on the boot up is the L of Lilo booting up. I'm sure
the hard disk I'm using is fine as I selected check for bad sectors during
format in the installation.

Any ideas on what might be wrong?

Thanks 8-)
