I'm a noobie to linux
is there any way to probe hardware device files to see if they actually
exist?
also when i do that, can i erase nonexistent devices and later if I get new
hardware, can I recreate the device files. i have a USB microsoft wireless
optical mouse blue. I need to set it up with X/KDE/Gnome.
