if you meant 'what editing TOOL is available'?:
'vi' is standard on all linux distros. you actually used it when you
used the 'view' command.
'pico' is good too, you may have to download it (it's included with 'pine')
pico is a bit more friendly to use, but not open source.
'nano' is the open source version of pico.
