Moving/Resizing Partitions... parted?

I underestemated the space I needed for installing linux,
and was wondering if you could give me some suggestions...

On my disk I first have 3 primary partitions, followed by
a *large* extended partition. On the extended partition,
there are several logical partitions... and some free space
at the end (of the extended partition).

The logical-partition I need to grow is (typically) squeesed
between two logical-partitions I want to keep... so just
merging the one I want to grow with one of those, is out
of the question. There are also a couple of *other*
logical-partitions (that also are in use) following these
    three.

I was wondering if it's possible to just move *all* of
the logical-partitions following the one I want to grow
in one "chunk" a couple of GB closer to the end of my
disk, thus making a "hole". The partition I need to grow,
may (if it's necessery) be formated (new filesystem being
created)... I just need it a few gigs larger.

Is it possibel to this with 'parted'? How exactly (I would
prefer moving several partitions in one "chunk"? Are
there other (preferbly free -- or shareware... preferbly
linux) tools that are better/more intuitive?

Finally, can you recomend a GUI-frontend for parted (that
at least let me do what I need)?

    -Koppe
