    Hi there,
I currently have an old P3 450Mhz with Redhat (8, I think...) and it
works not so perfectly and I've decided to buy a new computer. The
new computer will be a Dual Athlon MP which will run with SMP.

Now, I do programmation and I like using threads, I've heard threads
were perfectly suitable for SMP, but are they for a cluster?

Also, I've read a little about clusters and it seems there is a
question of homo/heterogenity(?). So I was wondering if my old P3 and
new Dual Athlon will work together?

And as an extra, I have an old MacPPC, I'm not sure if the hassles
to get it working are worth the processing capabilities it will give,
but, I'd like to know if it is possible to add a MacPCC (7600) on such
    a cluster?

And at last, can you recommend any good documentation for clusters?

    Thanks,
      Simon
