How to know cd tray position

Hi,

I want to know if cd tray is opened or closed in the state of
 not putting media on.
I've already checked ioctl(CDROM_DRIVE_STATUS) but
 it returns CDS_TRAY_OPEN even tray is closed.
Is there any solution for this?
