Hi all

I am a beginner to Linux, do have used a different Unix for some time.
I have a problem with my NIS client, I can't connect to my NIS domain
server.
The error I get is:
   host 'hostname' dosen't answer.

but I can ping the host, and when I use ypcat -h hostname host.byname
it resolves ok.

On the server the ypbind works ok.

whats wrong ??
