hi,

can anyone let me know what the differences in setup and commands are when
using:

a) PPP on linux through a serial port connected to a nokia phone setup to
connect with GPRS to the internet ---- this works.

b) PPP on linux through a serial port connected to a GM862 GPRS module to
the internet ---- LCP does not negotiate.

i am using the same chat, ppp config and commands for both connections;
just swapping the phone for the GPRS module.

ie at+cgdcont=1,"ip","APN","0.0.0.0",0,0
   atd*99# or atd*99***1#

Thanks.
