I want to compile Glibc 2.3.2 on a RedHat 7.2 Linux system with
gcc 3.4.1. When I try to configure glibc in a build subdir, I
get this message:
*** On GNU/Linux systems it is normal to compile GNU libc with the
*** `linuxthreads' add-on. Without that, the library will be
*** incompatible with normal GNU/Linux systems.
*** If you really mean to not use this add-on, run configure again
*** using the extra parameter `--disable-sanity-checks'.
But configure does not recognize --enable-add-on=linuxthreads. It
says that there is no such subdirectory, and indeed there is not.
Any suggestions?
