Hello All,
little background first
I'm building a box from some extra parts I have
Abit VP-6 dual proccessor mobo
700 MHz cpu's on 100 MHz bus (not overclocked)
80 Gig Maxtor disk
Fedora Core 2
I'm having a lot of problems with system lockups
tried pulling all extra stuff I could out, soundcard nic etc
no help
as a debugging tool I want to install Win2K to see if the same problem
exists, but when I do the install fails at the part where windows reboots
to run for the first time, it say operating system not found.
now for a question
it seems to mee I've seen this before, where after installing linux on a
disk I could no longer install windows.
I thought I did something like using fdisk under linux to delete all
partitions and that fixed it, but today I'm not having any luck with that
approach.
anybody seen this problem before and know how to get around it??
Thanx
Dave
