KVM switch and scolling with middle mouse

    When I use a KVM switch to change systems my Gnome desktop loses its ability
    to read the middle mouse scroll wheel. If I CTRL-ALT F2, CTRL-ALT F7 I can
    restore the capability, but there has to be a better way. Any thoughts?
