The modem I have currently, for my old windows OS, is an Encore, which
looked to me to be a winmodem- it worked great with windows, but not
with Linux.
Anyway, I contacted their website, www.encore-usa.com, and waa very
pleased to hear that they did have a driver for Linux. If you happend to
have one of these modems, they can help. Here's a snippet from the email
they sent back:
> Hi sir,
> Glad to hear that our modems have served you well. The linux driver is
> available on our website at www.encore-usa.com, please download the
> model ENF656-EHW-INPR. As you know Linux is an open source development
> operating systems, so we offer very limited support on those drivers.
> Give those drivers a shot. If you have any questions please contact us
> again.
