De meeste mensen die deze NG bezoeken spreken geen nederlands.
Je kunt je vraag beter in het engels stellen of de nederlandse NG
nl.comp.os.linux.installatie gebruiken.
Nu toch even een antwoord op je vraag, (in het engels)

On such an old machine I'd go for an older version of linux.
You can download them from the web. Try searching with google, or
go to the vendors sites (www.redhat.com, www.suse.com etc)
You sound as if linux is new to you. If so, you'd better start
with a newer distro on a newer PC. The installation procedures have
improved a lot over the years. Or use Knoppix, without installing
anything, just to see if linux suits your needs.
