Soundcard does not work

Hi,
When linux starts (SuSe 8.2 pro) it says initializing
sound driver.
I go into to manually add in YAST2 Control Center.
Driver is listed SB16 -> ViBra16S
I select and then it says there is a problem - possibly with
address or IRQ. I tried manual and selected each optional value - to no
avail.
The sound cared is made on my Dell mother board.
Any help would be appreciated
