I just bought suse 9.0 and tried to install it on my dell inspiron 8100
with connected 120gb ntfs firewire hdd.
it worked well buit the external hdd is not mounted at boot up. i
think it is because the ieee modules are loaded after mounting the
fstab list. am i right?
so i tried to mount it by hand as su with following command:
mount -a /dev/sda1 /windows/E
the fstab line for sda1 is
/dev/sda1 /windows/E ntfs ro,users,gid=users,umask=0002 0 0
I do have now read permission as su user. but what i want is to read
and write for all "users" after booting the comp.
how do get the read/write option to work?
how do i get it to work withouit mounting by su-hand after booting the
comp?
thanks.
