I have tried installing several commercial Linux distributions (Red
Hat 9, SuSE 8.2, Lycoris) on my computer recently, and none of them
have been able to boot. I had originally thought that the problem was
being caused by a glitch in the BIOS, or in the OSes themselves.
After some experimentation with these and a few other distros, I have
concluded that the problem is with the GRUB bootloader. How do I
remove GRUB and install Lilo? Can I just copy it out of any
distribution that uses Lilo, or does it need to be done a certain way?
Any help would be great. Thanks.
Nick
