I've just experimented with installing Mandrake 9.2.
While I found it very easy and straight forward, I have
three suggestions:
1. Allow backtracking to earlier steps.
e.g. I should be able to go back and re-partition the
hard disk
2. When configuring keyboard and time zone,
the installer ought to add the country/time zone
corresponding to the key board choice to the menu.
Several common ones are there, but may not be necessary if
the suggestion is done based on the keyboard
3. In the package upgrade phase where the Mandrake mirror
sites are contacted, there should be A) a notification if
contact with the network is not made and B) an option to return
to configure the network.
