Hello, all. We have a number of platforms running RH 9.0 here at work.
There is a recurring problem with the mounting of USB keychain flash
memory drives. Most of the time these computers do not have a problem
mounting/unmounting these devices as long as only one device is used with
a particular computer following boot-up. Plugging in another USB flash
drive, even if it is an identical model from the same vendor, will usually
not mount. I am scratching my head as to why this is so since it is never
a problem on my platforms running Windows XP. I am wondering if this
behavior is tied to Linux's use of SCSI device drivers to provide external
USB flash memory support. What's going on here? Your comment is greatly
appreciated. Sincerely,
