Fetchmail and beeps

Hi folks,

I'm scheduling Fetchmail in my cron to run every 5 minutes, and with
'fetchmail -s' running as my user, it works great. Problem though...
each time it runs, it checks 6 POP3 accounts and it beeps 6 times, or
more as messages comes in, on the system speaker. How can I disable
this? I want this process to be totally silent with no output.

Another option is if anyone knows now to disable the system speaker in
Linux. I never use it, so this wouldn't hurt anything...

Thanks for any advice or suggestions,

Alex.
