Hi All,
We are running Fedora Core 1 with cups-1.1.19-13 and are trying to setup
printing on this client.
We want all of our print jobs to go through our central Solaris 9 print
server so that all the jobs can be queued into one pool. That means
that we are using cups on the client with an lpd device.
We setup the print client with this cups command:
> lpadmin -p ps -E -v lpd://131.215.102.1/ps
131.215.102.1 is the IP address of our print server. Once the print server
gets the job, it then queues it to the printer.
This mostly works and the jobs come out fine. However, when printing on
the print server, we can specify job options like this
printserver> lp -d ps -o duplex <filename>
printserver> lp -d ps -o mptray <filename>
How can we specify and pass these options from our cups client to our
print server?
Thanks,
Cheryl
