Hi folks,
Having an issue with the SuSE install - it wont let me do what I want
to - so any advice on how to achieve the following would be great:
I have 2 disks hda & hdc. (both 80Gb)
I want both disks as part of RAID1.
I want to LVM the whole disks.
Now I believe that /boot might be an issue and I might be able to do
that under RAID1 but not RAID1 with LVM....Is that correct?
If so I would partition as follows:
hda & hdc each with 2 partitions.
1st partitions 2Gb under RAID1 as md0 to contain /boot.
2nd partitions 78Gb under RAID1 as md1 to contain LVM (incl /)
Any ideas?!? SuSE install refuses to let me do the above or place
everything in one mirrored partition....
How can I achieve a 100% booted RAID *with* everything else (i dont
mind /boot not being under LVM due to its extremely limited growth)
under LVM.
Answers not on a postcard ;-)
Cheers folks - and happy new year!
Barry
