relevant points:
1.) i'm running fedora core one
2.) new(ish) to java
3.) new(ish) to linux
4.) no internet access. a friend burned the java sdk onto disk for me
5.) after i finish the install, it says to run some sort of script.
how do i do this?
6.) where do i install java? it creates its own directory? huh?
7.) how do know if it's installed? do i "javac foo.java," or what?
