The problem: I can install Psyche with this controller, but the
install treats it like a normal SCSI adapter (AIC-78xx). And when the
system tries to boot, the controller can't find the boot block.
I've researched this a bit, and discovered: 1) this is a known
problem; 2) Adaptec doesn't support linux on this board; and 3) no one
seems to have solved this.
Is there anyone who has gotten this to work? Please help. I got this
great old dual cpu server (okay they're only PII's, but it was free)
with SCSI hot swap drives, but, with that AAA-131 controller. I really
don't want to spend any money on it to get a new SCSI card, and would
like to get RAID set up on it.
TIA.
